Jesus

I thought I saw Jesus on a tram
I asked him "?Are you Jesus?'
And he told me 'Yes I am'
I asked him where he's going'
He just looked at me and frowned
He said "?None o'your fuckin' business, man'
And took of in a town

And I saw Jesus on a tram
I guess he must've lost his car this morning
In a traffic jam
He walked away and everybody
Turned and took a bow
They say he can walk on water too
But he didn't anyhow

And I thought I saw Elvis on a tram
I asked him "?Are you Elvis?'
He said "?No I'm Jesus, man'
He said "?I did do sing once
And I even used his name
But now I've changed it back to Jesus
And I guess it's just the same

And I saw Jesus on a tram

And left me quite confused
Cause they say he can walk on water too
But somehow he refused

He said "?I am not Jesus'
And I told him "?yes you are'
I said "?You fooled me twice
And you're not getting me this time
You know, you're Jesus or you're Elvis
And either way it's fine'

Didn't get him véry far
He used to be a wise man
And he had some things to say
Now he's just cruising his convertible
And going his own way

so no cross and no apostles
