Dirt Gardener

I like dogs, am a dirt gardener,
love to cook and am an exceeding
doting mother and grandmother
and have tremendous respect for
my husband's political analyses.

with a tool of my own invention,
i cracked my own resolve,
weighted it in my hand and struck
myself hard.
and i felt you creep in to freeze
and expand.
